Biona produce various different vegan and organic sweets. One of these are the Pomegranate Hearts. They come in a pink 75g bag, and you can see through the transparent element of the bag how the hearts really look.
As vegan sweets they do not contain gelatin. Instead, Biona use pectin. From our experience, pectin works really as gelatin substitute. With pectin, the sweets generally don´t get sticky and don´t stick to your teeth. They get a very nice texture and are neither too soft nor too hard. As the hearts are certified organic, they do not contain any artificial flavourings or colours, which we really like. We believe that this contributes to their great, natural and fruity taste. These little hearts are quite sweet. We generally like sour more, but as not everybody likes sour, these are a good choice for everyone who prefers a certain natural sweetness.
