If you haven´t already heard of the iChoc vegan chocolates then it´s worth trying them. They can even be ordered on Amazon with Free one-day shipping. They are a great treat, and I will tell you further below why!

Firstly, with currently more than 200 reviews on Amazon and 4.5 starts out of 5 chocolate lovers seem to agree that these 6 variants of ichoc´s vegan chocolate are awesome!

But what is part of this fantastic chocolate experience? If you order exactly this product on Amazon, you will receive 6 different vergan chocolates:

  • 1 x Chocolate Orange

  • 1 x Choco Cookie Rice

  • 1 x Choc White Nougat Crisp Rice

  • 1 x Choc White Vanilla Rice Choc

  • 1 x Classic

  • 1 x Choc Super Nut Rice

We are vegans and we buy these ourselves regularly, and this is why we are so convinced and would like to motivate you to try them as well!

I would like to say we are really happy with the ethical aspects around these chocolates. They are all fair trade and also certified organic! This means that most of the ingredients come from organic sources, and thus you don´t need to be concerned about pesticides in the chocolate! This also means that the persons harvesting the ingredients for these fantastic chocolates were not exposed to dangerous pesticides, which is something we really like! We generally try to buy organic if we can, as we also find that organic products just taste better. IChoc also do not use artificial flavourings or questionable emulisfiers like soya lecithin.

As they are vegan, they are obviously completely free of animal products and yet at the same time, so similar to "traditional" chocolate that is produced by using "cows milk". Instead of using powdered milk from animals, ichoc use rice drink powder (which is also known as 'rice milk'). If you have ever tried rice milk, you will know that it´s really delicious. While we don´t like rice milk so much in tea or coffee (as it is too sweet), it really works well in chocolate. Rice milk has normally quite a sweet taste, and is probably therefore the perfect choice for sweet chocolates. What we really like is that they are not super sweet. Yes, they are sweet, but not artificially super sweet. We really like this, as it tastes more natural and you can actually taste the ingredients, like the nuts and the crisps, and it´s not all just sweet. When you eat these, you will instantly know that this is not just cheap product like so many of the traditional chocolates are that you can find in any supermarket. This is a genuine quality products, which has been produced to the highest standards.

It is worth pointing out again that this pack of 6 chocolates contains 6 different flavours. This is great as the vegan sweets market is still developing, and many other brands only offer standard dark or vegan "milk" chocolate. It´s therefore great to have the choice between so many flavours, which all taste good. The white vegan crisp is our favourite! We must say, however, that the organge flavour was our least favourite one, purely because we don´t think that chocolate and oranges work well together, but you may have a different opinion, and it is worth giving it a try.

The choice of flavours is also great considering that a few years ago it was very hard to find vegan "milk" chocolate anywhere, so we give credit to iChoc for their innovative products!

While we really like the taste and the quality of the ingredients and the fact it´s all natural and organic, it is worth pointing out that the packaging says it can contrain traces of milk. Our understanding is that by law they have to include this statement. While none of their products actually contains milk, traces are possible, because the chocolates are produced in a factory, where also milk chocolates are manufactured. I would therefore not recommend these to anyone who may suffer from allergic reactions to milk. These statements can be found on many vegan products, and this always happens if vegan and non-vegan products are produced in the same factory. It also depends how strictly vegan you are. If you really do not even want to have the smallest traces of milk in whatever you eat, then you should try another brand of vegan chocolate. Check out our other posts and products we recommend! However, if you are vegan and you understand and accept that there may be minimal traces of milk in the chocolate, we would recommend you try them!

So where does this fantastic vegan chocolate come from? iChoc vegan chocolate is manufactured in a chocolate factory in Herford, East Westphalia, Germany! The factory has a history that dates back 100 years, and it was once pioneering in the production of Fairtrade and organic chocolate. Production there is based on the 'Bean-to-Bar' principle - that is - from the unroasted cocoa bean, to the finished product, everything takes place under one roof.

If you want to try them or even consider them as a gift for someone who is vegan, all you need to do is to follow this link, which takes you directly to these chocolates:
