The Manner Neapolitaner Hazelnut Filled Wafers are one example of a fantastic "accidentally vegan" treat. Accidentally vegan means that these are not specifically produced for the vegan market. They have been around for a while (Manner has been founded in 1898), and the traditional recipe just does not include any animal products, which is fantastic!
The Original Neapolitan Wafers are made of five layers of tender wafers filled with four layers of hazelnut cocoa cream, which contains 12% hazelnuts in the cream. Manner Original Neapolitan Wafers were invented in 1898 by the company’s founder Josef Manner I. The interesting fact is that format and basic recipe has remained unchanged to this day! Worldwide, around two packs of Manner wafers are enjoyed every second!

They are always fresh and crisp, not too sweet, but sweet enough to satisfy a sweet craving. They stay crisp if you reseal whatever you've not consumed.
